Avanti Communications Group receives Queenâs Award for Enterprise 2015
Leading satellite operator awarded UK’s highest accolade for International Trade
Avanti Communications has been awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK’s highest accolade for business success, in recognition of outstanding achievement in delivering growth in exports.
David Williams, Chief Executive at Avanti Communications commented: “This award is a great honour for Avanti, its partners and its people. Our innovations are bringing fast, affordable internet connectivity to high growth markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and in so doing are positively changing the lives of many thousands of people.”
Avanti connects people wherever they are – in their homes, businesses, in government and on mobiles. Through the HYLAS satellite fleet and more than 150 partners in 118 countries, the network provides ubiquitous internet service to 27 per cent of the World’s population.
Avanti employs 200 people, 73 of whom are multi-lingual from 32 different countries speaking a total of 27 languages.

Approximately 140 Queen’s Awards have been announced this year for outstanding business achievement in the fields of International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development.
