Background
Introduction
The availability of affordable broadband services in Scotland has increased rapidly over the last four years and such services are available to 99% of Scotland's population. However, the remaining 1% of the population has no prospect of commercial coverage in the foreseeable future.
Avanti Communications has been awarded a grant to implement the Scottish Government's Broadband
Reach Programme,
bringing broadband to those areas of Scotland currently unable to make the best use
of the Internet.

Every person who has previously registered their property as unable to receive basic broadband with the Scottish Government and had that registration accepted onto the Broadband Reach database will be eligible to receive an affordable broadband service on special terms, delivered by Avanti Communications:
